Repurpose goods to support underprivileged communities.

There are over 1000 Community Men’s Sheds are found in Australia, almost in every town. Members of Men’s Sheds come from all walks of life – men with time on their hands and would like something meaningful can partner with BREAD AUSTRALIA.

We see the value and effectiveness of in-kind donations. In our experience, coordinated in-kind contributions will help Community Men’s Sheds directly and practically involved in humanitarian interventions. We are working with several community groups, including Men’s sheds to repair, restore and repurpose the superseded goods, which are mostly unwanted in Australia. We redistribute them to communities in desperate need in war or in disaster-affected countries.

We collaborate with men’s sheds and women’s groups to repurpose goods to support underprivileged communities in Africa and Asia.

A group of toy repairers have come alongside and have volunteered their time and skill helping repair toys. Their generous help will provide children across the world who are in need with a gift that will bring joy! Various toys and bicycles that have been donated needed a few minor repairs before they could be sent to overseas children, and our partner toy repairers are making this possible.

Another shed partners with BREAD Australia by restoring sewing machines; these sewing machines will now be sent to families overseas to help them develop a small business to provide a sustainable income for themselves.

We love to connect and collaborate with other Men Sheds and community volunteer clubs; for more information, please write info@breadprojects.org
